This is the second blog generating software I am reviewing. The sales letter of Voodoo Blogger does sound a bit “hypish” to me. The intro paragraph of the sales letter says “How would you like to setup a brand new domain and instantly have 1000’s of 100% OnTopic, Keyword Specific Targeted Oneway Backlinks within minutes. Not days, not hours… MINUTES.”. I have found this to be untrue because I have not been able to create 1000s of blogs in a matter of minutes. Read on to find out more about how Voodoo Blogger works and how it can benefit you if you plan to blog and ping to increase your web site traffic.Features and Benefits of Voodoo Blogger Elite Version
Voodoo Blogger actually comes with a free demo version with less features. I recommend you to download the free demo version to give it test run to get a feel of what Voodoo Blogger is like. It looks slightly different from the Voodoo Blogger screen shot on the left.
About Amy, Author of Voodoo BloggerAmy has an extensive line of blogging software in her arsenal of internet marketing software. As you can see from the advertisement space in the Voodoo Blogger screen shot above, Amy has Blog Submitter Pro, Stealth Advertiser, and some other similar blogging tools.
I experienced some problems downloading the Voodoo Blogger software after purchasing and I had to email Amy to resolve it. Her email response time was very good. She replied to me within 1 day and I received a download link to get my software.
If you plan to get Voodoo Blogger after reading this review, you might want to get it as soon as possible before the author stops selling this software. She has threatened on her sales letter that she would take down this software once a certain number of people own Voodoo Blogger. I am not sure if this is a gimmick or not but she has done the same thing for her other software, Blog Submitter Pro.
The Biggest Drawback of Voodoo Blogger
I also noticed that there is a long wait time when you decide to complete your blog creation process. Check out my video “Creating Blog Accounts With Random Variables” and watch the last part of the video. You will see it finalizing each blog one by one and it takes about 1 to 2 seconds per blog.
My guess is that the long wait time after you complete each session with Voodoo Blogger is due to the software connecting back to the author’s web server to keep a copy of your BlogSpot.com blogs! According to the license agreement during the installation of Voodoo Blogger, the author says she will own all the blogs you created with Voodoo Blogger should you decide to get a refund. The only way she can do this is by sending back the username and password of each blog back to her own database.
I am not sure if it is legal for someone to do this. I believe this is form of spying and I feel my privacy has been violated.
Other Issues With Voodoo Blogger
I personally do not like the advertisement box in the Voodoo Blogger “home screen”. I find it very irritating and useless but I can live with it as long as it does not have any spyware or popups and things like that.
There are actually more advertisements Voodoo Blogger. In each Blogger template, there is a link disguised as an advertisement to some of Amy’s web sites. I only found this out after publishing a few blogs with Voodoo Blogger. You will need to edit all the Blogger HTML templates in the Voodoo Blogger folder in your PC to get rid of the links. You will need to know a bit of HTML knowledge to do this. This little annoyance can be rectified by simply updating your blog templates with Voodoo Blogger once you have updated your Blogger HTML template files but I still do not like it because it wasted about half an hour of my time to update the templates.
Greatest Feature of Voodoo Blogger
What I like most about the Voodoo Blogger blog creation process is it’s ease of use. Just specify the settings you want and click start to enter each “captcha” image as it appears. I can simply hit the “enter key” when I have typed in the “captch” words into the textbox.
I created 10 blogs to test the speed and stability of Voodoo Blogger. I recorded my blog creation times with a stopwatch software and here’s what I got on my old AMD 1.7 Ghz, 1 GB DDR RAM, Windows XP PC, on a cable internet connection:
Your blog generation speeds depends on your PC speed, internet connection speed, and your personal typing speed. I took about 35 + seconds because I had to press the delete key to remove some typos. if you’re a fast typer, you could get a away with 25 seconds per blog.
I even tried to launch 2 instances of Voodoo Blogger to see if I could create more blogs at a faster speed. I did not experience major problems except for the occasional “captcha” error when Voodoo Blogger failed to retrieve a “captcha” image.
Conclusion
Speed of blog generation: 4/5
Ease of use: 4/5
Customization of blog templates: 4/5
Removal of your deleted blogs: 4/5
Total score: 4/5 - 2 (for privacy issues) = 2/5
Voodoo Blogger is a pretty complete blog generation software. If the author could fix the privacy issue I pointed out above, I would consider giving it a higher rating. But for now, there are better and cheaper software out there.
