Finally I’ve got my cartoon ready. It took so long from my cartoonist I almost got MAD. I’m not going to use that cartoonist ever again. They took their own sweet time and took forever to reply to me emails.

Anyway, I’m glad that its finally completed now. I’ll be adding the "head and chest" to the top left of this blog. Bet it will look fantastic.

I’ve got 55 more working days before I end my long and miserable time with the army. I’m very happy to leave an disempowering environment with people that I dislike. I just have to hang on for bit and it will all be over.

I almost wanted to scrap my idea of Vincent Rich cartoons till I reviewed the latest drawings from my Elance cartoonist!

Finally got something that I was looking for in a cartoon of myself! I hope this project will turn out well from now. I require 2 cartoons. 1 for VincentRich.com and 1 for my eBay listings.

I’ve been dabbling with Google AdWords again. I still have not got a firm grasp on how to create a successful campaign. I might have got the keyword mathching options and the keyword selection within my ad groups wrong. I’ve also been looking around for advice and through Google’s search engine, I found a list of forums where I could get some help.

I believe I’m getting a step closer to mastering this tricky AdWords marketing tool. Its going to be well worth the effort.

Remember the last post where I mentioned about iKobo payments… Well my buyer didn’t pay me with iKobo. He used PayPal instead!

Hello!

Thanks to Square Trade’s dispute settlement service, the buyer that never paid up a few weeks ago has paid up! Cheers! Square Trade is turning out to be a great investment for my eBay business.

Out of my 34 bids at elance.com, I selected Audrie to work on my cartoons of myself. I like her style and she’s also creating an eBay template for me too!

I’m selling some of my vintage computer games. I feel like I am selling a part of myself because I love my Wing Commander games dearly but when I saw that they could sell for over USD $100 ++, what the heck? To hell with the game, I want that money to finance my elance project and my future web hosting fees.

Everything’s seems to moving along as planned at the moment. I’m loving every minute of it!

I’m getting myself a cartoon character from a designer at elance.com!

I’ve received 20 bids from my would be designers…. I had to sift through all of them and shortlisted 4 of them. Now I’ve gotta choose just 1. That’s a tough decision because they’re all great cartoonists.

Not much today. Simply changed the directions of the "waves" at the top and the logo. I made a search on the internet for XHTML and CSS layout tutorials. Its much easier than I thought. Having spent most of my life as a Web Developer using tables for formatting, its quite a shift to use 100% CSS to position the elements of the page.

Now I know exactly how to build the web site. Till then, have a nice day!

I removed the orange background on the top left and now its all in a cool blue background. Not much time to work on this today. I’m taking it step by step, day by day. I’ve got tonnes of ideas bouncing around in my head I could hardly sleep. Too bad I’m only human. I still need some rest.

The top left corner is reserved for my cartoon, the top right corner will be reserved for my cat Milo. A random cartoon of him with a "text bubble" of some of his random rantings. Hahaha! Just some of my current ideas. I guess I would have to position my cat with layers at that position. I’ll use overlib for the "text bubble".

I’ve never built a web standard comforming web site before. This shall be my 1st attempt to build it with standard XHTML and CSS. I’ll do whatever it takes to remove the tables from the code. Just can’t let myself be too reliant on tables and single pixel gifs for the layout.

I don’t really like the colours of the web site template and I decided to change it. I prefer blue to the green colour. No way am I gonna include that little girl’s picture and that man? I’m gonna replace it with my own picture!

I reserved the top left corner for a cartoon logo of myself. I need to hire a cartoonist. I have already done a seach on elance.com. Found a few cartoonists with a particular style I like. There’s this person who draws like the characters in the "batman" cartoon. I’ll keep my options open.

Milo, my dear cat is gonna be featured on my web site. He’s gonna be a "garfield" kind of character here. Sarcastic, lazy, rude….. I can’t wait to see how he turns out in a cartoon!

Time for some sleep…..

I’m pretty lazy to design anything even though I know how to do it. It will take up too much of my time.

I’m just gonna use this blogger tool for my articles. Its soooo easy to use and customize.

I’m also looking for a cartoon illustrator to create a cartoon of me to use on this web site! Damn! It will be so fun to see the end result.

I’ve always wanted to make myself a cartoon character. That will be the theme of this web site. I don’t take myself too seriously and I want to convey that to my visitors.

Vincent-Rich.com would be my personal blog page as well as my "online adventures" in internet marketing. Specifically, how I am going to make a living through the internet.
