My head has been buzzing with ideas lately! I suddenly came up with the idea of calling my eBay consignment business "Auction Converters". I did a check on the domain and I was happy to find that it was not registered! I snapped it up immediately!
I also ordered a copy of the book How to Sell Anything on eBay . . . and Make a Fortune! on the internet. Its an unbelievably cheap book (priced at SGD $26 plus shipping) packed with a lot of practical information on running an eBay consignment business.
I’m currently reading the book Selling the Dream by Guy Kawasaki. I wish I had read this book 2 years ago when I first started Oasis Fanatic. I would have been able to formulate a clear and consice mission statement for Oasis Fanatic. Anyway, I’m glad I’ve got that book right now! I’ve never read a book that teaches people how to sell their ideas, product or service as good as this one!
Here’s a quote I received in my email:
When you are focused and have a goal in mind, the Universe makes way for things to happen, in a certain way, which may seem miraculous at first.
You don’t have to be concerned with the details of how to get there, or how things will happen. You only have to have a goal. The way to achieve this goal, is not your concern, it will all fall into place.. This process is called synchronicity.
When you are in tune with the Universe, and in tune with your self, everything is taken care of for you. Everything will happen in a perfect way.
You were born to set goals bnt for the goal as an end in itself, but so you can marvel at how it all unfolds, and how the Universe wants you to know how powerful you are.
I’ve had numerous "synchronicities" and "serendipities" in my life ever since I’ve learnt to follow my "inner voice". Its amazing to look back in 6 months or a year in my diary and discover how every decision and action I made in the past manifested into my reality of today.

I received this email from Perry Marshall a few hours ago. Its about a web seminar on Google AdWords.
****************************************************
Dear Vincent,
Two years ago, Google launched their AdWords program. When I started, I made all the usual rookie mistakes. Fortunately at 15 or 20 cents a click, those mistakes weren’t fatal.
But now clicks are often $1 or more and the competition is thick. And the bag of tricks for beating the Adwords system gets deeper and deeper.
Before I get on with today’s newsletter, you need to know that PPC expert Don Crowther, myself and Jason Potash are doing an Ulta-Advanced Adwords Strategy Conference Call on Tuesday and Thursday this week:
Today I’d like to highlight some very important big-picture aspects of AdWords, especially important when there are 20, 30, 50 or even 100 bidders. (I’m competing in one market right now where there are 180 bidders and counting.) Here are some things to help you win the game:
1) The more competitors there are, the bigger you win when you do crack the code. Nowadays if you can buy a high-traffic keyword for 5 cents, that’s a virtual guarantee that a whole lot of other people have tried to profit from that keyword and failed.
For example there’s lots of traffic on the word "typing" and there’s only a few bidders -you can play for a nickel. But in reality there’s so much *free* typing stuff available that hardly anyone is willing to pay for a product in that market.
2) Promoting affiliate programs using AdWords:
A year ago when the "Googlecash" craze began, I honestly thought everyone was nuts for doing it.
I believed that not having your own website was a serious disadvantage. The reason I thought this was because I know, as a pro direct marketer, that the most expensive thing to do is to acquire a new customer.
BUT — as I talked to people and tried it for myself, I discovered that there are tens of thousands of crazy niches and unexploited opportunities out there. Yes, it can be made to work, and when it does, it’s pretty cool.
I’ve got some coaching members who are really kicking big-time butt with this.
The advantage of the Googlecash method is that if a product doesn’t sell, you just switch programs and promote something else. That’s very hard to do if the product is your own and you’ve already spent a year developing it! So really it’s a more market-centric approach to advertising.
On Tuesday and Thursday Don and I will talk about how to (1) find a program that’s profitable without blowing a ton of cash, and (2) how to build on your success once you’ve got a winner.
3) Promoting *your own* website using AdWords: First of all, "do your own" vs. "do affiliate programs" is NOT an either/or question. Ultimately, it’s wisest to do both! After all, the name of the game is squeezing maximum value out of every single visitor that clicks.
But just as split-testing is the secret to Google ads, it’s the secret to everything that happens *after* people come to your website too. When you spit test landing pages, order forms and sales letters, you get enormous, exponential improvements. Don and I are going to discuss split-testing case studies from hyper competitive markets where margins are thin and competition is thick.
4) Content Targeted vs. Search Engine clicks: Content targeted (Adsense) clicks are almost NEVER worth as much as clicks from search. You MUST separate these, otherwise you will be paying 100% to 300% more than you should. Google doesn’t let you do this, but Don and I will show you how to get around that.
The Tuesday / Thursday teleclinic with Don and Jason is going to START where my current Adwords material and the Jonathan Mizel teleclinic leave off. Most of this new material has not discussed anywhere else besides in private conversations and one-on-one consultations. This will be a serious brain-dump of truly advanced information:
Talk to you on Tuesday!
Perry Marshall
****************************************************
I first heard about Perry Marshall from the Google Cash ebook. There was a teleclinic download for free if you purchase a copy of the Google Cash. The ebook and MP3s of Perry Marshall provided some insight into getting Google AdWords to work for you but not as much information as I want.
I hope this web seminar will work out for me to finally create ads that will help me make money online with affiliate programs. I’m going for Option 5 - Just the ebook and audio download.

Take the quiz below by prosperity expert, Randy Gage, and see if you have been infected with “lack? and limitation programming. You might want to bookmark this page so that you can share this quiz with your friends and loved ones.

I took the test and I scored a 7!
What that means is….
I am in a victim cycle.
If you scored 7-15 points you are headed toward, or already experiencing a definite downward track toward serious emotional, physical, and financial challenges. This is the kind of "victim cycle" I was on when I lost everything at 30 years old. It is imperative that you take immediate action to break the pattern and stop the failure cycle. This will involve uncovering the limiting beliefs you possess on a subconscious level, and radically reprogramming yourself with positive ones.
That only means I have some work to do on myself. I can’t go on in life like this.

In Singapore, all males have to go through a compulsory national service for 2 - 2.5 years. In other words, we get drafted into the military to serve our coutry.
I never really understood why I get so little for my 2.5 years of service even though I’m just a administrative clerk. I wonder if the value clerks produce means anything to them? Well, we get paid less than a road sweeper. I’ve heard the usual "You’re serving you duty as Singapore citizen" and "You’re lucky to have $XXX today compared to 10 years ago" lectures. However, the amount of money I receive doesn’t make sense to me. It gives me the impression that we’re supposed to serve our duty for free and we don’t mean shit to them?
Here’s a summary of the "allowance" I receive from the army:

I believe everything happens for a reason. As much as this pisses me off, receiving peanuts every month just makes me want to make more money right now and after I have left the army. I’ve got so much fire in me, I can’t wait to release it!

I almost wanted to scrap my idea of Vincent Rich cartoons till I reviewed the latest drawings from my Elance cartoonist!
Finally got something that I was looking for in a cartoon of myself! I hope this project will turn out well from now. I require 2 cartoons. 1 for VincentRich.com and 1 for my eBay listings.
I’ve been dabbling with Google AdWords again. I still have not got a firm grasp on how to create a successful campaign. I might have got the keyword mathching options and the keyword selection within my ad groups wrong. I’ve also been looking around for advice and through Google’s search engine, I found a list of forums where I could get some help.
I believe I’m getting a step closer to mastering this tricky AdWords marketing tool. Its going to be well worth the effort.
Remember the last post where I mentioned about iKobo payments… Well my buyer didn’t pay me with iKobo. He used PayPal instead!
Categories: Web Design | No Comments »

A buyer of mine told me he can’t pay me through PayPal. He recommended me to sign up for iKobo. I’ve been to their web site before but I didn’t see the need to do it because I already accept payments through PayPal and Western Union money orders. Now I have that need!
iKobo is available in over 100 countries. This is how it works….
The buyer sends payment to your through his debit or credit card. The money is transferred to your iKobo account. You will receive an iKobo card to withdraw cash from your local ATM machine. Sounds cool doesn’t it?
The only drawback I see with iKobo is that it will take some time for the card to arrive to you. Once you have the iKobo card, you can reuse it again and again. I hope its worth the initial wait!
The receiving fees are 2.99% + USD $0.30 per transaction. That’s almost the same for PayPal’s fees. An additional charge of USD USD $1.50 + hidden fees will be charged to you. The hidden fees depends on your local ATM provider. That’s a grey area that I unsure of.
Compared to PayPal, I only pay SGD $1.00 + the exchange rate to withdraw money to my local bank account. Ok, that takes about a week too.
I guess I’ll only know which one works best for me after I’ve used it! For more information, visit iKobo’s web site.
